The knee joint is named Janu Sandhi in Sanskrit; therefore the name Janu BastiĀ  is given to the proceduredone on knee joints. In this the knee is bathed with warm medicated oil or freshly ready flavorer simmering. Depending on the condition it is practiced over each the knees or on one knee joint. Knee joints are thought of as articulation Marma in Ayurveda (joint kind of important areas) that live concerning 3 fingers (three anguli pramana).So the janu vasti is specialised knee medical care or massage that rejuvenate the janu marma.

Treatment Method:

The person is made to lie on his back on the massage table (Droni).

Reservoir made of black gram dough is made upon the knee. The dough ring should be such that it covers the knee.

After making certain the ring is watertight, the lukewarm medicated oil or herbal simmering is slowly poured into it. When that cools down, it is squeezed out with cotton gauze and therefore the procedure is repeated.

At the end of the procedure, the ring is removed andĀ  the affected area might be gently massaged The person is then created to require rest for a brief whereas.
